PolyU Tech Launchpad Fund (TLF) Scheme announces Year-2018 awardees

We take pleasure to announce the awardees of TLF 2018 as listed below: (in alphabetical order)

AlikeAudience (Hong Kong) Limited -

AlikeAudience is a mobile data management platform which provides quality audience segments for marketers and agencies to reach their target audience in Asia across different channels. It builds segments based on location, demographic data and purchase intent. Its vision is to map online-to-offline profiles to bring a seamless online advertising experience to reality.

ASA Innovation & Technology Limited -

ASA is a Hong Kong based company specializing in air technology solutions to help protect people from air pollution. ASA's products will be used and implemented with a patented technology - Ozone Catalytic Oxidation Technology (OCO) for residential and commercial spaces such as air cleaners for homes, offices and hotels. ASA's air purifier combines intelligent technology and breakthrough design for a luxurious user experience and saves energy. We will participate in commercial projects, for the larger commercial space, such as open offices, hospitals and classrooms to create an ultra-clean living and working environment. ASA's vision is to help people breathe the cleanest and most healthy air to help them live longer, healthy and happily.

Asiabots Ltd -

Asiabots Ltd develops Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology for healthcare providers to connect patients, medication providers and health-related parties. The company has launched a chatbot through Facebook messenger called Dr Care in the beginning of 2018. The AI technology of the platform allows patients to connect with doctors and to find suitable medical resources via omni-channel including webapp and chatbot.

The company has raised nearly HK$5 million investment, apart from the HK$730,000 funding support from PolyU Tech Launchpad Fund 2018-19.

Degree (Hong Kong) Education Consulting Limited -

Degree (Hong Kong) Education Consulting Limited aims to develop one-stop service platform for non-local students in Hong Kong. The platform offers various services, such as cross-border logistics, job hunting consultancy and other landing support. By integrating the resources of high-quality local support, the company has successfully built up its brand of overseas study services among non-local students in Hong Kong.

In addition to the HK$710,000 funding support from PolyU Tech Launchpad Fund 2018-19, Degree (Hong Kong) Education Consulting Limited has secured over HK$4.3 million further investment.

Eternal Billion (Hong Kong) Ltd

Eternal Billion (Hong Kong) Ltd develops self-help medical devices and services for women preparing for pregnancy. With accurate ovulation period monitoring and AI-enabled fertility prediction, the hand-held test kit can also be used for medication monitoring of In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) users.


In addition to the HK$5.6 million funding support from PolyU Tech Launchpad Fund 2018-19, the company has secured over HK$3.3 million further investment and was admitted to HAX, the world famous hardware accelerator from Silicon Valley.

Next WiFi Technologies Ltd

NextWiFi offers business WiFi solutions to SMEs and free internet access to smartphone users by providing more WiFi hotspots at low cost. Through NextWiFi’s business WiFi routers, merchants may engage customers proactively by sending pop-up messages, local information, entertainment (video, audio, games) and social networking services. By analysing traffic and customer preferences in stores or nearby, merchants may better strategise marketing campaigns to boost their sales and businesses.

Vision Science & Technology Co Ltd

Vision Science and Technology Company Limited (VST) aims to commercialise Defocus Incorporated Soft Contact (DISC) lens developed by School of Optometry, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University for myopia control. Clinical trials results suggested that DISC lens can reduce myopia progression up to 60%, and are particularly beneficial for school children aged 6-18 who are in fast myopic progression period by reducing their risks of developing high myopia.


Since its incorporation in 2016, VST has secured over HK$2.3 million further investment, in addition to the HK$1.1million funding support from HKSTP-PolyU Tech Incubation Fund 2016-17, PolyU Tech Launchpad Fund 2017-18 and 2018-19.
